2013 BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition

  Review

BMW USA has added yet another Frozen Silver Edition to its line-up, but while the first version was based on the BMW M3, this new edition is based on the 6-Series Coupe. The model will be limited to only 55 units and will be offered in two trims: the 650i Coupe priced at $99,295 and the 650i xDrive Coupe priced at $102,695. Deliveries will begin in mid-January 2013.

As its name suggests, the BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition will be painted in the high-maintenance BMW Individual Frozen Silver exterior paint with contrasting black mirror caps and a new set of 20" bi-color Ferric Gray/gloss M Performance wheels. The interior of both versions will combine Black Nappa leather and Gray Popular wood, while the xDrive version will also get the Cold Weather Package, which adds a heated steering wheel and ski storage bag.

The model will be offered with a standard M Sport package that includes an M steering wheel, an M aerodynamic kit, a Shadowline exterior trim, an anthracite Alcantara headliner, a sport exhaust system, dark chrome exhaust tips, black painted brake calipers, an M driver’s side footrest, and M door sill finishers.

Several brands offer variations to beef up the price. A few other brands offer matte finish paints...which I will never understand. Why would anyone want a car that looks like it needs a paint job?

and maybe is just my point of view, but isn’t this just a fully loaded 650i with matte paint?

I’m sorry but to me, all these colors look like primer??? Actually, it’s gone thru all the names....matte, primer, suede and frozen !!it’s time to move on.

Considering you could order a 650i in fronzen silver, with any option you want on it, from any dealer, at any time, I don’t see the point of this.

I’m getting frostbite looking at this. Where’s the BMW 6 Series Molten Lava Edition. I’m sure there’s enough dumb, rich people who want those.

is a very very gorgeous car. Wish it were only 5k premium on a 5er it’s based on.
