2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible

  Review

Shortly after hearing of the upcoming BMW 4-Series sedan scheduled to appear in 2014, we are now hearing of a convertible version set to launch that same year. German magazine, Auto Motor Und Sport, is reporting that the 4-Series Convertible will be placed between the 3-Series and 5-Series models, and will take on models from Audi and Mercedes.

The future 4-Series Convertible will be a cheaper alternative to the high-end 6-Series Convertible and the company hopes it will appeal to the younger crowd. The model will take design elements from the 5- and 6-Series, but with more squared-off headlights and larger eyebrows. The wide kidney grille will have a 3D look to match that of the latest BMW models.

Rumors say that the 4-Series will be offered with the latest four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel units found in the BMW lineup, including the new 245bhp 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine.

Expect the new 4-Series to be revealed sometime in 2013, with sales starting in 2014.

UPDATE 12/15/2011: The future BMW 4-Series Convertible has been caught testing one more time revealing new details on the model. From these images, it looks like the future 4-Series will feature the same folding hartop seen on the current 3-Series Convertible.

UPDATE 03/02/2012: The upcoming BMW 4-Series Convertible has been caught testing again this time during winter conditions.

UPDATE 04/11/2012: Our spy photographers have caught the new 4-Series Convertible testing one more time, this time revealing its roof mechanism.

If we speak of its built, it’s actually unacceptable although the look is quite fashionable.

I have no words for this. No, seriously, it’s appalling. It’s like a major waste of effort.

It looks funny, cheap, and unattractive. There, I said it.

I dislike extensive convertibles. Despite its flashy appearance, it’s like a novelty amusement ride to me.

Isn’t it kind of long for a convertible car? Various aspects aside, I think the paint job is flashy and the wheels are funky.

I’ve seen lots of convertible cars; some are impressive, and some are not. I don’t know where I can line up this one, just want to see this first in person before I’ll give my opinion for this one.

For me, it is not in a hurry. 2014 is a long time for this BMW to be released perfectly. But I do agree with them that the speen performance of it is quite dissappointing.

It’s not so stunning unlike with the other convertible vehicles that I already saw, but I’m still impressed with this for it has a powerful engine output which really seems fun to drive with.

It looks so simple but very stunning and appealing! I also noticed that it looks very decent on its body paint, which only adds more appeal on this. However, I don’t think that 245 hp is already enough on it.

Awesome! It looks perfect for me! I love the body paint that they use on it. It looks very classy and luxurious on that. However, just like them, I’m as well hoping that it has an impressive engine specification.
