Car wrapping is a delicate art that sometimes requires restraint. Lose it and your work becomes a little too abrasive. Hold off on the art and the product could look pedestrian. There are only a few companies in the world that can expertly strike a balance between the two and one of them is Fostla.De. The German tuner->ke1987 is one of the best in the business at this and recently, the company presented a new program for the BMW X5 that embodied the tuner's affinity for car wrapping. See, the tuner's program for the X5->ke326 comes with an anodized matte-red car wrap to go with a significant performance boost.

We appreciate the fact that Fostla prepared a comprehensive upgrade for the X5, but it's hard to notice them all when all that red is staring you in the face. But hey, the program does come with a significant performance boost, which is more than we can say for other car-wrapping specialists who don't venture into the the engine compartment.

The entire kit costs €8,500, which is about $10,700 based on the exchange rate on 7/30/2014. It's a nice program for the X5, although its pretty steep price tag might dissuade some customers.

BMW X5 M By Fostla.De in detail

The aesthetic upgrades on the X5 are limited to the aforementioned anodized matte-red car wrap. Still, there are a few details worth mentioning, specifically Fostla.De's decision to incorporate the hue over the entire body of the X5. Look a little closer at the BMW roundel and you will notice that its colors have also been reconfigured to complement the anodized matte-red wrap covering the body.

Fostla.De enlisted the help of PP-Performance to give the BMW X5 a serious increase in performance capabilities. With PP-Performance in charge of the engine upgrade, the tuner was able to increase the output of the X5 to an incredible 650 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque. That's a significant increase from the 555 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque that the stock model produced.

Rounding out Fostla.De's program for the BMW X5 is a new set of BMW's->ke178 own 21-inch high-performance wheels. The wheels themselves aren't mind-blowing, but you have to appreciate the fact that Fostla.De is fixing up this X5 in the best possible way, anodized matte-red car wrap notwithstanding.
