German tuner G-Power->ke1323 isn't the type to waste its time on developing programs for vehicles it doesn't seem fit to wear the its unmistakable badge. The BMW X6, though, is one of those that has its stamp of approval. That's precisely why G-Power went to great lengths to build the SUV a new "Typhoon" program, complete with a comprehensive list of new aerodynamic parts and a performance upgrade that increases the output of the X6->ke2396 to an impressive 725 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque, a staggering rise from the standard 440-horsepower output of the standard X6.

Oh, and that metal-twisting torque numbers can be bumped up to 737 pound-feet with an added performance boost. Either way, you probably aren't too disappointed about an X6 that can hit 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds to go with a top speed of 186 mph, right? That's a full 1.2 seconds faster to 62 mph and a top speed that is 37 mph faster than the stock X6 xDrive50i.

With that much work done on the X6 by G-Power, it's a little surprising that people aren't giving it the due attention it deserves. We're not doing it, though, because we know what this company is capable of when it goes through the rigors of building tuning programs that have as intimidating a name as "Typhoon."

BMW X6 M Typhoon by G-Power in detail

On top of the obviously insane engine upgrade, G-Power's new Typhoon program for the X6 also comes with enough new aerodynamic components to make this hulking SUV significantly lighter than its stock configuration. The front apron has been changed for aesthetic and aerodynamic improvements. The same can be said for the "Venturi" hood with its air inlets, which you'll notice is made from carbon fiber, and the new rear apron that carries with it the tips of those enormous tailpipes.

A new set of wheels is always in G-Power's packages, and the Typhoon program for the X6 is no different. In this case, a set of 23-inch, three-part “Silverstone RS” forged wheels were installed and wrapped in Michelin high-performance tires.

Other than the technical refinements of the exterior, G-Power also gave the X6 a fancy interior dress-up, none more evident than the prevalent use of high-tech compound materials or soft leather and Alcantara where the plastic surfaces used to be. There are also hints of blue carbon fiber on selected spots of the interior while the iPads integrated into the backrests of the front seats gives rear passengers a chance to pass the time away when the SUV is out on the road.
