BMW->ke178 may be working on an brand-new 7 Series executive that is expected to arrive in 2016, but the Germans->ke2091 aren't ignoring the current model. To help improve sales and get ready for a new launch, the Munich-based automaker will roll out numerous special edition models over the next couple of years.

Last time we looked, BMW launched the 7 Series Horse Edition, a limited edition model tailored specifically for the Chinese market. Now, the German are introducing the 7 Series Edition Exclusive, a bespoke model that's not limited to a certain region or production number.

Developed more as a special package, the Edition Exclusive upgrade can be added to both the regular and the extended wheelbase 7 Series starting June 2014 for a yet unspecified price. Unlike other special editions, the Edition Exclusive can be had with any engine available for the 7 Series lineup, ranging from the 3.0-liter inline-six to the huge 6.0-liter V-12.

Exterior and interior upgrades aren't exactly spectacular, but they to add a touch of exclusivity to the already luxurious 7 Series->ke323 with plenty of Nappa leather as standard and Merino and Alcantara options.

2014 BMW 7 Series Edition Exclusive

On the outside, the 7 Series Edition Exclusive will be distinguished by metallic paint finishes and 19-inch light-alloy wheel at all four corners. The rollers will feature a V-spoke design specifically developed for this special edition model.

The sedan gains more exclusive feature inside, where the instrument panel is wrapped in leather and a unique Nappa leather trim can be found.

Additionally, customers can choose to have the cabin fitted with an optional BMW Individual trim in Merino fine grain leather and Alcantara roof lining. The automaker says these can be had at "an attractive price," but no actual info is given.
