2015 BMW M235i Convertible

  Review

The current BMW 1-Series M Coupe has had its fair share of success on the market, so BMW’s plans to develop a successor for it shouldn’t surprise anyone. The new sports coupe will be based on the next generation 2-Series and will most likely be badged the M253i (known as the M135i Coupe until recently). A coupe version will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, while a convertible version will arrive later in 2014.

The future M235i will be powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 316 HP. The engine was recently announced in the M135i, but according to Autoweek, this engine has been certified for U.S. sales.

The M235i Convertible will be offered with a fabric roof and will have enough interior room for four people. The exterior will be distinguished by the usual BMW M Performance package which includes a front apron with large air intake vents and three-dimensional flaps, an impressive rear apron with dual exhaust pipes, and 18" M light alloy double-spoke wheels.

This will be attention-grabbing on its official launch; I’m certain of that. We all know what BMW is capable of.

There are still signs of its former models, though they have already made it once again a unique vehicle.

It’s relative to its M predecessors, but its modification sets on the exterior and performance.

It has the angst and can compete with the other convertibles of the Land Rover, Mercedes and Audi.

V6 Engine has potentials on upgrading its output up to 300-450Hp, depending on the tuning package.

Who say’s its getting behind with its power? Don’t you know that the 300HP is hard with the V6 engine?

@CalvinClimb: The 300HP is not as great as you think. This 235i is getting behind in terms of power.

@BadStroller: I don’t think this M235i became over tuned. As you can see with their specifications, it has 316 ponies. Far from its former models that have mostly 400-500HP.
