Fresh off of unveiling an incredible BMW M235i fitted with M Accessories, BMW Abu Dhabi followed that up by showcasing another BMW model with its own set of M Accessories. This time around the new M3 Sedan is the subject of the personalization program, and while it doesn’t look as exciting as the M235i, it’s still worth some serious attention.

The objective of this program is simple: BMW->ke178 Abu Dhabi wants to showcase the immense customization potential for the M3 Sedan. That’s a nice little marketing trick to have in a market that doesn’t lack in wealthy customers looking for a little exclusivity for their automobiles.

Like I said, I’m more of a fan of the program BMW Abu Dhabi created for the M235i. But I do appreciate the time and effort the Middle Eastern dealership put into creating this unique look for the M3 Sedan->ke142.

It should bode well for interested customers thinking of scooping up a German sports sedan with a 3.0-liter, inline-six engine that produces an impressive 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Those numbers return a 0-to-60-mph time as low as 3.9 seconds to go with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

BMW M3 With M Performance Accessories in detail

The Yas Marina Blue exterior finish is the first detail that’ll get your attention, partly because it looks real good on the M3 and also because it was inspired by the waters of the Yas Marina, which can be found in, you guessed it, Abu Dhabi. That little piece of trivia aside, the new M3 Sedan also received plenty of M Performance components, including a new front splitter, new side skirts, a new diffuser, and a rear spoiler lip made entirely out of carbon fiber. The modifications do their part in enhancing the look of the M3 Sedan, but it’s also important to know that these new components also give the sports sedan some extra downforce.

A black kidney grille and carbon-fiber mirror caps were also added to better match the car’s standard carbon roof.

Moving inside, BMW Abu Dhabi dressed up the M3 Sedan’s cabin with a generous amount of carbon-fiber trim to go with Sakhir Orange leather seats.

BMW M3

The new BMW M3 Sedan made its debut in unconventional fashion with the M4 Coupe back in December 2013. Instead of the usual auto show route, the two cars were first launched in Gran Turismo 6. Yep. A video game, albeit a pretty awesome one at that.

Nevertheless, the new M3 Sedan marked a dramatic shift in strategy for BMW because it didn’t have a coupe version to go along with it. That spot is now occupied by the M4 Coupe, which turned out to be a masterstroke for the German automaker.

The M3 remains the iconic BMW M model and the latest-generation model certainly does its part to keep that tradition alive. It’s powered by a 3.0-liter, turbocharged, inline-six engine that pushes 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The engine mates to either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed M Double Clutch transmission.

The M3’s top speed is still electronically limited to just 155 mph, but it does have the power to cover the 0-to-60-mph sprint in just 4.1 seconds with the manual transmission or 3.9 seconds with the dual-clutch.

The 2014 BMW M3 sedan is priced at $62,000 in the US.
