With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, it only makes sense that high end tuners like Brabus are delving into the world of Tesla tuning along with the forward thinking electric charging station chain RWE with this modified electric roadster. RWE recognizes that the single largest drawback of an EV is the amount of time that it takes to recharge the batteries and feels that if owners had access to in home rapid charging stations, like their Eco-Power unit, that we would see a lot more on the road already. So at this year’s Essen Motor Show Brabus and RWE will have this lightly modified Tesla Roadster on display complete with the more practical Eco-Power charging station that fits in your garage and is able to top off the batteries three times faster than with a conventional outlet.  The TESLA Roadster Sport Brabus Green Package kit includes a carbon fiber front lip and the obligatory highly efficient LED driving lights integrated into the roadster’s grill. Out back Brabus has incorporated a rear wing made from the lightweight woven black stuff and a downforce producing rear diffuser, while a set of staggered Monoblock S alloy wheels measuring 18 inches up front and 19 inches on the back axle. For those high performance electric car owners who miss the sounds of the internal combustion engine, Brabus has also incorporated a space sound generator that can produce tones ranging from race cars and V8s to futuristic songs that are referred to as Beam and Warp. And if that still isn’t enough to convince you, RWE is also offering the use of all their public charging stations to their Eco-Power customers free of charge for up to one year. The new RWE Quick Charger delivers much shorter charging times. The special model TESLA Roadster Sport BRABUS Green Package comes at just the right time to take advantage of this fact.  RWE and BRABUS Zero Emission, a business division of the world’s largest independent refiner of automobiles, together now offer an innovative all-around carefree package. The two-seater sports car features an exclusive BRABUS equipment package, but that’s not all: RWE contributes the RWE-BRABUS electric car charger to this unique car. This new high-tech charger easily fits in the customer’s garage and comes complete with eco-friendly RWE Eco-Power for 30,000 kilometers of green driving. Also included is a year’s pass for free use of all public RWE charging stations.
RWE has developed an extremely powerful compact quick charger with high-quality design for home use that takes up little space. “Electric mobility for everyday use requires short charging times. With the RWE-BRABUS car charger our customers can recharge their cars three times faster than using a standard electrical outlet – a range of 350 km in less than six hours,” says Carolin Reichert, director of the E-Mobility business division at RWE. Customers can also use all public RWE charging stations. Drivers can quick charge their cars where they park, for example at work or when shopping at the mall. RWE has already installed more than 160 public charging stations in eight German cities. 500 of these stations will be operating soon in Berlin alone. By 2010 the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia will have 400 stations and the expansion of the system is well under way in other German cities.  The TESLA Roadster Sport BRABUS Green Package comes with exclusive BRABUS appointments that include an even more stunning appearance. To give the mid-engine sports car a more striking face the BRABUS designers upgrade the front apron with an especially lightweight carbon-fiber front lip and daytime running lights integrated into the grille. Initially the partners offer the special model TESLA Roadster Sport BRABUS Green Package in Germany.  Speaking of color: BRABUS fulfills any color requests from owners of the electric sports car. The list of available colors ranges from conventional non-metallic and metallic paint in any color imaginable to special matte paintjobs or special-effect paints with genuine crystals.  The BRABUS customization program for the TESLA Roadster also includes exclusive interior options. The list starts with scuff plates integrated into the top of the rocker panels.  I’m really a fan of Brabus tune-ups but I think on customizing the Tesla Roadster was not the right choice coz’ I don’t see some good points on this car. Maybe the LED lights on the headlight stunned me for a second but all in all, it was not impressive at all.
 This car got an amazing set up. It’s hard to say which one is the bonus, the eco-friendly features or the whole design. Although green cars is the new trend, Tesla Roadster is better because they are working on the life of the battery. They are addressing the common problems on green cars. Expect that each year, green cars will be better.
