German auto tuner and car wrap specialists, Cam Shaft, have taken a decidedly foreign approach on their next project. Instead of using one of the many local vehicles coming from BMW->ke178, Mercedes->ke187, Audi->ke14, and Porsche->ke1, Cam Shaft went for a car that calls the land on the other side of the pond its home: the high-powered, svelte-looking Cadillac CTS-V.

In getting the American sports sedan, Cam Shaft decided that upgrades were in order, especially to the CTS-V's powertrain and exterior. So they went out and re-tooled as much as they could on the car, giving more power to a car that already has 564 ponies worth under its hood. In addition to the upgraded powerplant, Cam Shaft also set out to make the car stand out from other sports sedans, by wrapping the CTS-V's exterior body in a matte white foil.

The result is a car that's as stunning as it is powerful: a noteworthy combination of style and substance all rolled into one awesome package.

Details after the jump.

Exterior and Interior

Known for being one of the best car wrappers in the industry, Cam Shaft wasted little time giving the CTS-V a dress up in the form of a matte white foil. This wrap clearly adds a touch of class and simple elegance to a car that has quite a monster running under its hood. Cam Shaft is also offering an optional upgrade of adding more of its matte white wrap on the visible parts inside the doors.

Apart from the matte white finish, Cam Shaft also gave the CTS-V a total of 25 chrome parts - including the car’s rims – all of which were likewise spray-painted in a matte black finish to complement the matte white body.

Performance

From a stock 6.2-liter V8 supercharger-induced engine that produces 564 horsepower, Cam Shaft Tuning upgraded the CTS-V’s overall performance numbers by adding a new compressor kit courtesy of Wait4Me. They also installed a larger polished air intake, remapped the car’s ECU software, and increased the boost by 0.4 bar. The result of all of these upgrades and modifications is a CTS-V that sees its horsepower output jump from 564 hp to 630 hp.

Pricing

Each of the modifications come with its own set of price tags. The full matte white foil finish will set you back €2,250 ($2,972). The deplating and repainting of the 25 chrome parts in matte black will set you back €3,250 ($4,294). Finally, the compressor performance kit is priced at €3,800 ($5,000).

Competition

The Cadillac CTS-V is America’s answer to Germany’s BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG, two cars that are being prepped with new engines of their own. Seeing as perception often skews the truth, a lot of people might shun the CTS-V because of the esteemed competition it belongs in – the M5 and the E63 AMG are universally regarded as two of the best sports sedans in the world. But to underestimate the American sportster is not knowing what this car is all about. It may not have the esteem of a BMW or a Mercedes, but the CTS-V is one car that nobody should be sleeping on, especially now that it’s got a tuned-up program from Cam Shaft Tuning ready to make it faster even more powerful than ever before.
