Parmigiani Fleurier’s Bugatti Type 370 Collection is one of the most unique and expensive watches I have seen so far.
This timepiece was created for a true driver. The dial is on the side of the case so that you could see the time while driving. The Bugatti was created for the super-exclusive French sports car company Bugatti. The 18k gold case and movements are shaped like a transversal engine. There are four versions of the dial and each one looks perfect. The dial has applied baton markers with luminous material; it is hard not to stare. There are 6 sapphire crystals on the case that allow every part of the mechanism to be viewed. What makes this timepiece even more unique is that it has no crown to adjust the time. Instead Parmigiani Fleurier created a tool called the Starter. The Starter is a tool made of aluminum and steel, it has a dynamometer system and a tip at each end that you use to set the time and winding the movement. The movement powering this timepiece is a PF 370.01 hand winding transverse movement with 5 plates, which is completely manufactured by Parmigiani Fleurier. The power reserve of 10 days is indicated on the side of the rotating drum. The straps are Hermés calf with a folding clasp that is polished finish. This timepiece is sold at the starting price of $200,000. It is definitely an expensive timepiece, but I think is well worth its money. Parmigiani Fleurier created this watch for one of, if not the most expensive and top of the line car manufacturers. I really like this watch and think it very unique. |
