Whistler DE-1788 Cordless

The Whistler 1788 stays on 100% of the time for total radar and laser protection. Other cordless units go into a "sleep mode" to save on battery life which cuts down on performance. The Whistler 1788 has rechargeable batteries and a built in battery charger so it does not need a "sleep mode" to save on battery life. The translates into one of the best cordless detector we have ever tested.

The Whistler DE-1788 offers a blue backlit text display. The display is configurable, and the back-light can be setup to change the brightness setting when an alert is received. This model also offers 3 city modes to reduce false alerts, and supports disabling any band through the "Selectable Bands" feature.

The Whistler DE-1788 responds to all types of radar currently in use by police, and provides 360 degree detection of all types of laser guns laser. The Whistler DE-1788 is immune to the VG-2 detector, and provides alerts when VG-2 is in use. The alpha-numeric display allows for full support of SWS alerts, including detailed information messages. Support for Whistler’s Stay Alert feature is included as well.
