Finally it is oficially announced: Midnight Club: Los Angeles is to be released this year, on September 9th in North America and 12th in Europe. This continues the series of open- world street racings debuting on next generation consoles. The game was developed by Rockstar San Diego, a series creator and aims to give the players a total freedom to race through the streets of a hyper- realistic L.A. “With our team at Rockstar San Diego we have developed a game that we feel once again pushes the boundaries and expectations of what a racing game can be,”said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games.
The game has no load times, no tracks or rules, it allows players to race who, when and where they want in a fantastic recreation of L.A city. "People are going to be blown away when they see how true-to-life Los Angeles looks in this game. We’ve added some great twists and turns that let players experience the authentic vibe and feel of the city at blistering speeds that you simply couldn’t get away with in real life," said Jay Panek, Midnight Club Producer Rockstar San Diego.
The eagerly anticipated ‘Gran Turismo 5 Prologue’ for PlayStation®3 was released by Sony Computer Entertainment UK at a recent launch event in London’s Marble Arch and was supported by Lotus Cars who has two versions of the iconic Elise in the game.
One of the capital’s largest underground car parks was transformed into the GT5 Pit Lane which boasted some of the stars of the game which is heralded as one of the most realistic to date. Alongside the legendary 1996 Lotus Elise and the now iconic 2004 Elise 111R, other heroes of the game turned out to support the event including Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9, Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper SRT10, Ford GT, TVR Tuscan Speed 6, Ford GT and a Ferrari 599.
Lotus is particularly excited about this most recent version of the GT series as it has a distinct British flavour. For the first time the GT Series includes a London city circuit enabling fans to race around some of the city’s most popular landmarks including Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue, Charing Cross, the National Portrait Gallery and Trafalgar Square.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue releases on Blu-ray Disc(TM) (BD) to retailers today and will be available via download on PLAYSTATION(R)Store at 12:01 AM EDT on April 17. The BD version will include an exclusive behind-the-scenes HD video feature called "Beyond the Apex," offering an intimate look at the franchise’s history. In Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, players can drive 70 vehicles from top car manufacturers including Ferrari, Nissan and Ford around six meticulously rendered courses, each with two race routes. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue introduces various revolutionary modes to the series, including support for up to 16 players head-to-head racing offline and online, complete with race events and leaderboards to quell any question of who is the best driver in the "World of GT."

Sony announced today the North American soundtrack of the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. The new game brings plenty of musical genres like indie dance rock, electronica, classic rock but also some new remixes of some of the best artists like Weezer, Mars Volta and DJ Shadow.
The exclusive soundtrack of the new game offers a dozen exclusive singles including Weezer’s „Automatic”, Mars Volta’s “Goliath” but also a new version of Gran Turismo theme song “Moon Over The Castle”.
Recently, during an international auto show, Citroen, the famous French manufacturer, announced their new collaboration with Polyphony Digital, a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment. Gilles Michel, member of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Managing Board, made the announcement that the French automaker will now work as a creator in the Video Game world.
You may wonder what is Citroen looking in this world, the world of car video games. Well, the manufacturer will create a special sports model concept car for the 5th version of the Gran Turismo series. The result will be unveiled in October this year, at the Paris Auto Show.
