2009 BMW Z4 spyshot at Nurburgring

The new BMW Z4 is expected next year as a 2009 model. Based on the latest spyshots at leftlanenews it seems the final tunings are on the way at the Ring. Which means the new Z4 will most likely be on sale within the next 12 months.

If we can trust the heavily disguised mule at the Ring. The New BMW Z4 will keep its style, sporting angular shapes and a kidney shaped grill. The old side badges will be replaced by some real vents, certainly something close to the new M3’s. As depicted in the image above, the curved dashboard indicates that this model will be fashioned with the Idrive style. Unfortunately, the unsightly rigid antenna is still there.

Even so, the biggest improvement will be the folding hard top with folding back windows to improve dead angle visibility. Even though the soft top seems better suited for a weekend car such as this, drivers using the car daily and parking in the city street will be happy to have this option. Will BMW offer both hard and soft tops? We will have to wait find out.

Overall, the new Z4 will have a good and solid facelift, with a mixing of the angular shape of the current Z4 and that of the stylings of the new 2007 3-series coupe.
