All Volkswagen models will get hybrid versions

Volkswagen will offer all its upcoming models with either full or partial hybrid engine options. Also a range a ultra-efficient BlueMotion diesels models is going to be offered. The company is also considering a fully electric engine for its new small cars based on the Up! minicar concept.

Volkswagen’s product development Chief Ulrich Hackenberg confirmed that the new small car based on the Up! Concept will be offered by 2011.

At the moment Volkswagen is not offering any hybrid model, but has plans to release the first hybrid version next year, first for the compact SUV Tiguan and then for the Eos.
