AT&T awarded $1 billion contract with GM

The contract was awarded today in intentions to streamline GM’s rather large worldwide communications network. GM uses several telecommunication suppliers and this contract gives all of GM’s communication to AT&T. The contract allows GM employees all around the world use the same communication network (phone, e-mail, internet, and video). By combing the communication network, it will save GM time and money. It is critical to GM to share information between engineering and design centers around the globe, and the new contract will allow GM those centers to communicate through video and voice networks. This will be a big step for both AT&T and GM towards the advancement of the two companies.
