Audi A7 - official sketches

Car Magazine published today the official sketches of the Audi A7. The new model will go on sale in September 2009 and will be unveiled as a concept at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The A7 will be a strong competitor for the Mercedes CLS.

The 2009 A7 will have its mechanical part based on the next A6. It will get a new steering rack, multi-link suspension and a rear-bias quattro system to quell the apex-busting understeer that’s blighted Audi saloons for decades.

Power will come from either 3.0-litre V6 or 4.2-litre V8 FSI petrols engines. Top of the line, the S7 and the RS7 will be powered by the normally aspirated and twin-turbo Lambo’s V10 engine.

Prices will range between £35,000-£50,000.
