Audi had planned to introduce both the diesel and hybrid variants of the Q7 along with its smaller Q5 crossover in early 2009, a move that de Nysschen said would " make more economic sense."
By delaying the three models until the first quarter of next year, Audi also would be able to label the vehicles 2010 models. The turbodiesel Q7 will be powered by a 3.0-liter V-6 engine that makes about 230 hp and about 400 pounds-feet of torque.
