Maserati is working on a new smaller sports coupe that will have enough power to compete with Porsche models. Set to be released in the next 18-36 months, the future model will be based on a cut-down version of the GT platform and be a strict two-seater.

Maserati will develop both coupe and roadster version in an attempt to boost annual sales to between 15 and 18,000 units per year. It will probably be priced between €80-100,000.

Under the hood Maserati will place both Maserati’s 4.2 and 4.7-litre V8s and possibly a more efficient V6 engine.

if "will have enough power to compete with Porsche models" will have a engine that produces between 300 and 400 hp? i hope to se more pics soon
