After winning the title of "The most beautiful car in the world" and the "EuroCarBody" award, the Fiat 500 was voted the "2008 European Car of the year". Fiat 500 came across models like Mercedes C-Class and Ford Mondeo.

The jury was formed of 58 European journalists and for the first time the difference between the first and the second place was of about 100 points.

Here are the winners:

Fiat 500 (635 votes): 28%
Ford Mondeo (543 votes): 24%
Mercedes C-Class (448 votes): 20%
Nissan Qashqai (246 votes): 11%
Peugeot 308 (190 votes): 8%
Kia Cee’d (142 votes): 6%
Mazda 2 (74 votes): 3%

What works i Europe might not work in America, maybe that`s why they don`t sell it there

I wonder what kind of plan could be worked on to get something like this in North America? Don’t GM and FIAT have some sort of relationship? Maybe it could be sold as a Saturn...Food for thought?
