Ford Edge is "Most appealing all-new car"

So says J. D. Powers & Associates, based on their most recent, just-released survey of new car owners’ satisfaction with their vehicles. The Ford Mustang, Cadillac Escalade EXT and GMC Sierra also topped their segments in the Powers survey, which is technically the “Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout Study.”

But, as in years past, the largest number of winners were not domestic. Topping the list is Honda, with BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz also topping the survey. Perhaps worse for the domestic automakers, ten brands had models which scored below average. These included the full line-up from Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep, as well as models from GMC, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Saturn, and Buick, Ford and Mercury.
