On June 28, in Italy, you will have the chance to meet four new Transformers starts: “BumbleBee”, “AutobotJazz”, “AutobotRatchet” and “Ironhide”. This action is made by Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures, in association with Hasbro.
“BumbleBee”, one of the main characters of the movie, is in real life a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro, “AutobotJazz” a Pontiac Solstice, “AutobotRatchet” a Hummer H2, modified as a rescue vehicle and “Ironhide” is a GMC medium-duty truck.
“The first time I saw the new Camaro, while touring the GM Design Center, I knew immediately that it would be the perfect “BumbleBee”,” said Michael Bay, the film’s Director. He continued, “It’s got beautiful lines and a classic, timeless look. There were no other cars that came even close.”
Chevrolet Europe will roll out a fully integrated marketing and promotional effort around the release of the movie. Activities in Europe include seven Chevrolet Camaro replica models of the character “BumbleBee”, which will be featured at motor shows, dealerships and other marketing activities throughout the year.
