Ginetta G50 road car

The first Ginetta G50 road-registered car has taken to the streets around the streets of Garforth near Leeds ahead of tomorrows London to Silverstone Supercar Tour.

50 of the 21st Century’s finest Sportscars will leave the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London tomorrow morning at 10.00am (18th April) arriving at Silverstone at around lunch time to do a lap of the GP circuit. A Ginetta G50 will be there with the likes of Bugatti, Maserati, Jaguar and Ferrari.

“The prototype road car has been road registered to put miles on the engine and components” said Richard Dean. “It’s currently very much in race car trim in terms of its interior and fit, but it’ll never have things like hand stitched leather. It’s very much a performance car that you can drive to a track, blast it ‘round and drive home again.

“It will be much closer to a race car than anything on the road at the moment.”
