Leno and Seinfeld will host NBC’s Top Gear?

As we told you few weeks ago, NBC is working on a US edition of the popular BBC car show Top Gear. NBC said the US edition will be a mix of cars, humor and celebrities.

NBC also reported that the U.S. version also feature a quartet of presenters, including a secret test driver. One of them might be automotive enthusiast Jay Leno. He is considered a potential presented mostly because his current Tonight Show contract expires in 2009.

The second option is actor and Porsche collector Jerry Seinfeld that also has a lasting NBC relationship as evidenced by his guest stint on NBC’s 30 Rock and heavy rotation of Bee Movie promos.
