Luxury meets Enviromentaly Friendly.

BMW have put on show there new high line series 7, the BMW Hydrogen 7 which unsurprisingly is powered by Hydrogen, one of the most kindest fuels to power cars so far.

The car has an engine which is duel mode make it possible to run the car on petrol as well as the hydrogen fuel, simply because the hydrogen fuel will be available at all service stations until there is a sufficient amount these vehicles on the road.

This engine is planned to become available throughout the BMW range making this the first luxury car to be powered by hydrogen.

There are a few minor changes, like the rear seat has been brought forward in order to accommodate the tank for the hydrogen, but apart from that the changes are barely visible, this is new technology and as with many ground breaking creations there are bound to be problems in the early stages, the main one being the availability of the hydrogen fuel and how complicated it is to refill the storage tank, BMW say that the process is simple, clean and risk free operation.

At the end of the day it is going to be up to the car buyers to decide if the BMW Hydrogen 7 is going to be a major success or not, the car becomes available in the USA in early 2007.
