McLaren F1-creator to built new car for mass production

Gordon Murray is the mastermind of the McLaren F1 Supercar. A couple of years ago he left the McLaren company and he is now working for hiw own. On July 4 he will unveil a prototype called Gordon Murray Design Limited that previews a highly efficient, radical car for mass production.

Gordon Murray said "My passion lies in small, light, strong advanced vehicles. ’The next project is a personal transport thing. The vehicle is so radical that you’d have to let people try it in everyday use."

"My passion is packaging. If you want to make something that takes a step forward or helps people with congestion and the environment, it’s about packaging", he said in an interview with Car Magazine.

Do not expect a new 242mph supercar like the F1, becasue you will end-up disappointed. Gordon lately worked on the Caparo T1, the spiritual successor to the F1.
