Mercedes to launch new AMG model in July

AMG Owners Private Lounge announce a new mystery AMG model that will be launched in July. Considering the latest spy shots presented the SL 65 AMG Black Series, we suppose this could be the model they talk about.

The 65 AMG Black Series will be powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 that will deliver 680hp – that’s 76hp more than the standard SL 65 AMG Roadster and approximately 30hp more than the Mercedes-McLaren SLR 722.

It will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in less than 4.0 seconds and will be capable to hit a top speed of more than 220 mph, but will be electronically limited to 186 mph.

The official debut will be made in July at the German Grand Prix. Sales will begin at the beginning of 2009 and will be limited to only 350 units.
