more details about future slr limited edition

We first told you about a limited edition SLR back in May. Today, Auto Motor Und Sport revealed more details about this exclusive edition. The car will be built to "celebrate" SLR’s end of life and will be limited to only 75 units.

The special edition will be 200 kg lighter than the current SLR and will deliver more power. It will make the 0 to 300 km/h (186 mph) sprint in just 6 seconds and will hit a top speed of 217mph.

The special edition model will cost about 450,000 euro ($712,605) and will be official unveiled on July 30.

the car is 200 kg lighter and maybe they added some power to the engine, but 8-186 mph in 6 seconds, i don`t think so! we will have to wait until they release some info about the engine

A little common sense should be applied here. The ordinary SLR does 0to60 in 3.2 seconds. There is no way the same car can do 186mph in 6 seconds just by shedding 200kg.

These people are crazy.It takes 4 seconds for corvette just to get to 60.

The numbers are wrong. No car can make 0-300 in 6 seconds. big mistake.
