New Saab 9-3

These are the 2008 Saab 9-3 models.
 
According to Saab, seventy percent of the sheet metal is new, though the underlying structure is not. But there are two new engines: a twin-turbo 1.9 liter turbodiesel and a 2.8 liter V-6 putting out 280 hp. Also, there’s a new all wheel drive system, which Saab calls, XWD. From the reports, it appears that this system is capable of locking the drive at the rear, so that 100 percent of torque is to the rear wheels under hard acceleration.
