On the heels of the best sales month in history for the Nissan Altima, Nissan North America, Inc., announced it will modify production at its Canton, Miss., vehicle assembly plant to meet consumer demand.
To meet the needs of the marketplace, an additional shift of Altima production will be added to the car system at the Canton plant.
Nissan North America reported record May sales of 34,428 units for Altima Sedan, Hybrid and Coupe, up 38.3 percent versus the prior year.
