Nitro and Wrangler recall

According to the Detroit Free Press newspaper, Chrysler has issued a recall for 80,000 Dodge Nitro and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The vehicles’ engines can stall. According to the automaker, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received about 180 complaints about the problem. Apparently, the problem is due to an unexpected, though brief, of interruption of electrical power to the engine.

Dealers will reprogram a “power module” in the vehicle to correct the problem.
