Saab 9-1 Concept to be unveiled in Geneva

We were saying few weeks ago that the Saab 9-1 Concept will be unveiled in UK at the London Motor Show. But those rumors were wrong. Saab designer Anthony Lo has confirmed that the 9-1 Concept will be unveiled much earlier: in march at the Geneva Motor Show.

Even if Saab did not released any info or official images, we can tell that the 9-1 will be built on the Opel Astra platform and is the preview version of a model that comes to compete with BMW 1 series, Volkswagen Golf and Volvo C30.

As any other concept or model released by Saab lately, the 9-1’s design will be inspired by the Saab Aero-X Concept.

Under the hood there will be a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine, but a hybrid engine will also be offered.
