Toyota’s Answer to Mini Cooper? - Toyota Yaris RS

Just how much power does the Yaris RS have? Expect the Yaris Rs to come with either 1.3 or 1.4 diesel engine, which also gets you a chrome tipped exhaust and rear spoiler. Could this be enough to complete with the diesel powered Mini Cooper? Most likely not…

In addition to the diesel engines , the RS will also be powered by a more interesting 1.8 Dual VVT-I engine which also gets you bigger bumpers and fenders. The 1.8 engine will get you 131 bhp and at 6000 rpm and a run to sixty in 9.3 seconds. Decent power for such a small car, but the Yaris RS is going to need a lot more power though to complete with the Mini Cooper S. It is a good start for Toyota.
