Zero-to-sixty was achieved in around four seconds and top speed was reached at 175 mph. The engine was placed mid-ship, resulting in a 42/58 percent weight distribution. The Spectre R42 is mid-engined resulting in excellent balance with precise driver control. With a 42/58% front to rear weight distribution the Spectre R42 is absolutely predictable when driven at its limits. The independent race-style suspension incorporates adjustable shock absorbers for excellent ride quality and maximum roadholding.
The very spacious interior of the R42 contains luxurious leather trims and neat Wilton carpets. Visibility is also very good compared to other mid-engined supercars of that time, even of today. There is a good amount of luggage and storage space as well.
