The R8 Targa will be powered by the same V10 engine what will be used in the upcoming version of the R8 Coupe. The maximum power will be 500 hp.
It will be manufactured in the Neckarsulm plant. Start of production is planned for spring 2009.

As previously reported Audi will launch a Roadster version of the R8 in 2008, with sales starting in 2009. The Roadster version will be named R8 Targa.
