2008 Ford Focus first info

Ford will unveil the Focus III in this fall at Frankfurt Motor Show. The new generation Focus will benefit from a thorough revamp with many new body panels. Significant improvements are expected inside, with upgraded materials and a more advanced cabin control system – similar to the Human Machine Interface (HMI) which debuted in the Mondeo.

The Focus will take many of its design cues from the latest Mondeo and new S-MAX. Along with the X-MAX compact SUV, Ford will take the wraps off its next-generation Ka and new Fiesta – all within 18 months.

Ford will also unveil a RS version of the Focus that will be unveiled by the begining of 2009.

The prices of the new Focus haven’t been announced yet, but Ford will keep the Focus competitive with Opel Astra and Volkswagen Golf.
