Peugeot announced the winner for the fifth edition of the Peugeot Design Competition. The winner of the €10,000, prize is the RD Design Study created by Carlos Arturo Torres Tovar from Colombia. Designed to travel from one point to the other on the metropolis, the RD works mainly by an articulation that not only gives direction, but also is capable of reduce its size in moments of high traffic and low speeds, so the vehicle stays low at high speeds. In the drivers cabin the commands remains attached to the panoramic roof constantly.

The second place was won by the EGO designed by Emre Yazici from Turkey. Peugeot EGO is an electric vehicle for a single passenger and designed to weigh the quarter of the weight of an economy class four-door sedan. The bronze goes to the OXO designed by Lou Ke from China. The OXO is designed to change its shape to better fit in parking spaces.

The winner RD will be presented in life-sized at the April's Shanghai Motor Show 2009.
