The years pass for Toyota Celica to.After 36 years of life , 7 generations, and 5 wins in the World-wide rally for the coupe, the hour of the retierment reaches. For 2008 a new model is attended. From the aesthetic it will draw inspiration from the CS+S concept shown in Tokyo in 2003. It will be characterized by sinuose and soft shapes - a return to the sixth generation, that was a winner in the world-wide rally. 10 comments: Toyota Celica Why in the world would Toyota decide to quit making one of their ALL-TIME BEST LOOKING CARS?!?!? I seriously am in LOVE with this car! I love the sporty yet sleek exterior design that the recent ones have!!! Ever since the 2000 model came around I have been obsessed over it! Unfortunately for me though, I was only 12 at the time, and even when I was old enough to drive I simply could not afford a brand new car like this... I still have the same desire for it, now that I’m older, but can hardly even FIND any of them around that are not all jacked up or have damages all over them... I really, sincerely wish that Toyota had kept making these 2000-05 Celica models for my generation to enjoy too! So sad... Also, they could have tried mixing things up a little by making a nice 4-door version of this car as well, which I would DEFINITELY like to see someday! One can only hope
i have a 2000 celica gt-s i bought it for $5,000 and put another $3.500 dollors in high performance parts, in the engine and suspension. and i have raced plenty of evos and i will tell you now that they dont come close catching up to me

AK 47 (6682) - Posted on 03.11.2008 As impressive as the Celica is and believe me it is impressive, I highly doubt that the new model can outrun the new Evo. I’ve got nothing against hybrids or any car that takes the enviroment into consideration nor do I consider the move by Toyota to be impractical because if anyone can come up with a performance hybrid car, it’s Toyota. And I believe the new model will successfully outrun it’s competion although I doubt they will have any( I don’t see any other brand attempting to make hybrid performance cars), so good luck to the Celica fans.
