Kia revealed the first images of the 2009 Forte, the replacement for the aging Spectra/Cerato compact.
The 2009 Forte was designed by Peter Schreyer, who was responsible for designing the first-generation Audi TT and Volkswagen New Beetle.
It features the same grille found on the KOUP Concept and has elements from the KEE Concept.
The Forte will be powered by a brand new 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine. A more powerful 2.0-liter 4-cyliner engine will be released after the launch.
Sales on the US market will begin in 2009, with a two-doors version to follow a few months later.
