Lincoln will unveil the production version of the 2006 MKS Concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2009 MKS will be based on a on a modified Volvo platform also used to underpin the Ford Taurus. The 2009 MKS will be the first Lincoln to adopt many of the design cues that Peter Horbury, Ford’s North American design director, has developed for the brand. Under the hood there will be a 3.7-liter V-6 engine.
