As you know by now, Volkswagen will unveil a Coupe/Convertible version of the Phaeton in 2009. The new model wants to be a competitor for the
Mercedes SL-Class.
There are two different opinions about the Phaeton: one saying that will have the same platform with the upcoming Panamera, one saying will be the same with next Audi A6 and A8. Either ways, is for sure that it will be figuring out how to convince potential buyers to spend big money on a luxury car with a badge also found on economy cars.
