2009 Volkswagen Polo renderings

After the launch of the Golf VI, Volkswagen will also unveil a redesigned version of the compact car Polo, based on the platform of the current Seat Ibiza and Skoda Fabia.

The 2008-2009 years have been very important for the evolution of Volkswagen group: first was the Passat CC, then Scirocco and finally in autumn we will see the next generation Golf. 2009 will be the year for a new Polo: based on the compact platform of the Volkswagen group, same as for the Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza, the future Polo will be more aggressive and sportier.

Under the hood there will be the same engines as in the rest of Volkswagen’s range, such as the 1,4-litre TFSI, including for the GTI version. Diesel versions will include the new 1.6-litre TDI.
