The Audi S4 is ready for the market launch, and this latest spy shots prove that we are right. The S4, sedan version, will make its world debut this autumn at the Paris Auto Show. The station wagon version will be launched at a later date, and the first prototypes are also on testings.
The V8 engine was dropped and replaced by a 3.0 liter V6 TFSI-engine, both turbo and direct injection, that delivers around 330 hp (there are rumors also saying there will be a 350 hp version.) The engine will be mated to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox.
The new 3.0 TFSI engine makes its debut in the S4, and starting 2010 will be used in S5, and a detuned version that will produce around 300 hp will be used for the A6 and A7.

This is where I disagree with Audi. They haven’t come up with a gearbox for the V12 TDI and they are using the Strnic in the 40 grand S4.
They also used the engine of the R8 in the cheaper S5.
