A little economic slowdown isn't going to stop Jaguar. The 2010 XJ still is on schedule and this spy shot helps prove it.

Although the body cladding gives hides the car well, the headlights are a clear indication that Jaguar has dropped the reto car look. The 2010 XJ will likely taking some major cues from the smaller sibling the XF.

When the official specs are announced, we expect engine choices to be variations of the new 5.0-liter V8 that will range from 400 to 500 hp. There is also expected to be a diesel version that will not make it to the U.S. Just like the XF, where it used its predecessor car as a chassis base, the 2010 XJ will likely carryover the current car’s aluminum chassis.
