BMW will launch a new generation 1-Series in 2011, and here are the first spy shots of the test mules that prove this. Even if the car looks pretty much the same, it is considered that BMW is testing the chassis, drivetrain and other components.
The next-generation 1 Series will be using four-cylinder engines developed by BMW and PSA. The engines will range from 1.4 liter to 2.0 liter and they will include the twin-turbo as well.
We can’t tell you for sure if BMW will bring the 1-Series hatchback in USA, but there is definitely a demand for it that BMW might take in consideration.
