  news

Infiniti is no doubt a brand for people with money. And if you had doubts, the company has announced a new special edition for the European market that comes with a VIP pass to a selection of the world’s most beautiful hotels and restaurants. Called Black Premium the new EX30d is based on the top-selling GT Premium and will be limited to only 150 units and is priced from £45,671 (around $73,000 at the current exchange rates). Just as a simple comparison, in USA the 2011 EX is priced from $34,150.

Each customer of the new Black Premium Edition will be automatically entitled to join the Relais & Châteaux Club 5C and will receive a "Lys d’Argent", that includes a double room for one night, dinner with drinks and breakfast for two people in one of more than 200 Relais & Châteaux hotels in Europe, Morocco, Mexico, French Polynesia or anywhere else in the world. Your choice.

Hit the jump to read more about the 2011 Infiniti EX30d Black Premium Edition.

The exterior and the interior

The new Infiniti EX30d Black Premium will be distinguished by Malbec Black paint, 19-inch five double-spoke alloy wheels, sunroof and polished aluminum roof rails, Bose® sound system, graphite leather interior and highlights of aluminum and black lacquer.

The list of standard equipments will include: Around View Monitor, Intelligent Cruise Control, Scratch Shield paint, cornering xenon headlamps, Lane Departure Prevention and Blind Spot Warning as well as state of the art entertainment, navigation and communication systems.

The engine

Under the hood of the new Black Premium edition there is a standard V6 diesel engine that delivers an impressive 238 HP and a peak torque of 405 lbs-ft.

The competition

The list of competitors for the Infiniti EX includes models like Acura RDX, Lexus RX350 or BMW X3. However, none of this model will offer you the same advantages as the Black Premium Edition. Priced from $37,625, the RX350 is powered by an improved 275-hp, 3.5-liter V6 engine mated to an electrically controlled, sequential-shift six-speed transaxle.

The 2011 RDX is powered by the same turbocharged 2.3-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine that was found in the previous model. It delivers a total of 240 HP at 6,000 rpm with 260 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm.

The price

There will be only 150 EX30d Black Premium units built, each carrying a price tag of £45,671 (around $73,000 at the current exchange rates).<>p/

Well, I guess this is the best features offer in a car! The paint job of this car has perfectly combines in the elegance of EX30d Black Premium though it doesn’t come in cheap.

Fantastic deal for this car!I think everyone will get interested on package and not on the car itself! The figure performance of this car is not that impressive except for the luxurious exterior!

Well, I would say that this car looks  great though the price makes me sick. There’s a lot of other option in the market better choose it.

It looks so simple and I cant see much detailing on the interior. However, the exterior looks good for a crossover as well as the engine.

Black paint job  always makes the car look better and luxurious. Nonetheless, I don’t like the engine specification of this car since it been using the outdated v6 technology.

Bring the diesel to the US! I would probably buy another Nissan vehicle to replace my Maxima if it had a diesel.
