After the Range Rover saw its opportunity for a facelift, the Freelander->ke510 followed suit with a facelift of its own for the 2011 model year. The first image of the car has been revealed thanks to a leaked brochure.

The 2011 Freelander will feature a new front grille similar to the one from the Range Rover, new fog lamps, and new front air intakes. The rear of the vehicle also sees a few changes including a boot handle trim that now extends the full width of the car.

A few changes will also be made under the hood. The 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine will be upgraded and will get the brand's popular start-stop system. Other rumors suggest that the 2011 LR2 will adopt the front-drive running gear of the Range Rover Evoque, as demand for 2wd SUVs has increased by 14 percent.

The official debut will be made in August at the Moscow Motor Show. Sales will begin in early 2011.
