2011 Mercedes CLS caught undisguised

We have only been able to capture the future generation Mercedes CLS-Class in its camouflaged state a couple of times and we have been perusing in order to catch it unclothed. We are happy to say that the CLS is finally naked and caught on film! Today, we can see the Mercedes CLS-Class in all its glory and we have to say, we are very pleased.

The new model features a more upright grille, more pronounced front fender flares, and a smartly drawn hood. It will compete with models like the Audi A7 and the Porsche Panamera . The official debut will be made in September at the Paris Auto Show, with sales to begin in early 2011.

The new member of Mercedes’ CLS line will be powered by the company’s new 5.5-liter bi-turbo engine, a different engine from the car’s closest predecessor, the CLS 63 AMG, which was powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine. With the new 5.5-liter bi-turbo, the new CLS will be able to produce over 544 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque for the standard form with a more powerful performance package - 571 ponies and 664 lb-ft of torque.

it looks kinda larger and heavier than the Audi A7 and Porsche panamera.

the first pic looks to be just a one off, i don’t think Mercedes would sell it with a roof like that

It looks better than the previous version

Ya, this one looks better. I can’t wait to see that one move in the road.

the clear roof first pic is the current model. So compare it with any of the other pics. One big diffence: they went from slick pretty Brit Butt (like a Jag or Aston) to scrunched up pointlessly ugly Deutsche Butt. The old svelt, elegant tail end shape is what made the whole car design work.

Just as I thought, it looks like nothing’s have changed, maybe they just add some little bit of paraphernalia on its head lights and its kinda look the same as the head lights of AUDI. Well, that was too poor...

I prefer the current model.
