2011 Nissan GT-R spy shot?

We’re not exactly sure what this is yet, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen a Nissan GT-R with any body camouflage. This car was caught running around the Nurburgring at the same time Nissan was going for its record run.

One theory pegs this as a 2011 mule. Where the 2009 to 2010 changeover saw more horsepower (a whole five more ponies,) the 2011 car may be more about aerodynamics. All that is known right now is that this car features a different rear air diffuser and new venting on the underspoiler. While this may not seem like much, we found out from Nissan’s Colin Price that aerodynamics on the GT-R are everything.
