The Geneva Motor Show->ke228 never disappoints. Every year, we bear witness to some of the most amazing auto debuts on this event, and this year, it's no different.
As far as sports cars and super cars are concerned, there were so many eye-popping debuts that literally made our heads spin. German sports cars, Italian super cars, special edition British super cars, and yes, there was even one exotic from Sweden that received an upgrade.
In this section, we're going to dive into the sports cars and super cars that made their debuts at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The list runs pretty long so we suggest that you start heading over after the jump to check out which of these established brands made quite an impression on us at Geneva.

It's limited to only 150 units. It was built along the same veins of the mighty Aston Martin One-77. It's powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission with an output of 510 horsepower and 420 lb/ft of torque. It costs £330,000, which is about $538,300 based on current exchange rates. Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, a car that a lot of us will probably never get a sniff of, but love to pieces nonetheless.
Ah yes, the BMW M6 Coupe, a car that seems to have been overshadowed by a lot of cars on this list. But make no mistake, nobody should be sleeping on this German bad boy, even if BMW replaced the V10 engine with a newer 4.4-liter V8 equipped with with M TwinPower Turbo Technology. But hey, at least it didn't lose anything under its hood - it actually gained five ponies! - with its 560-horsepower output. People with pockets as deep as the ocean may enjoy the niche exotics. But for those with lesser means, we'd happily take the M6 Coupe.
Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse
It has the body of a Grand Sport but the heart of the Super Sport. In essence, that's what the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse represents. Thanks to the addition of larger turbochargers, plus a smorgasbord of other enhancements, Bugatti was able to ratchet up Veyron Vitesse's output to a sick 1,200 horsepower, making it the world's fastest convertible. Really, need we say more?
When Ferrari proclaims that the F12berlinetta is the fastest production car they have ever built, we really can't argue agains these guys. The fact that they can back it up with a sick exotic that carries a 6.2-liter V12 engine that packs a gargantuan 740 horsepower is all the proof we need to know that these guys are telling the truth.
How crazy must Gumpert be to name this special edition Apollo "Enraged"? Clearly, those mad engineers from Germany have decided to stir Geneva up a bit with this special edition Apollo, one that's dressed in aluminum and carbon and packs a 4.2 liter V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers a total of 780 horsepower, while capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and to 124 mph in just 8.7 seconds.
It's gotta be that "R". Gumpert's othering Geneva offering, the Apollo R, is just as sick and twisted like the Enraged. And that's precisely why we love it. Even if the Enraged looks a tad better than the Apollo R, the latter actually produces more ponies under its hood - 860 horsepower! - making it even more devastating than its Enraged counterpart.
The second-generation Agera R received a minor yet significant increase in power, thanks to modifications done on the car's in-house developed 5.0-liter V8 with twin turbo engine that now uses nano-surfaced cylinder sleeves to reduced friction and fuel consumption. All that done, the Agera R's output now hits 1,140 horsepower with a sick top speed of 273 mph. Bugatti Veyron, you have been put on notice.
Anytime you can get Lamborghini to build you a one-off supercar based on the Aventador, you must be living pretty good life. That's exactly who the soon-to-owner of this drop-dead gorgeous Italian bull is. "There is only one of them, no prototypes and no others for the Lamborghini Museum," Lamborghini said. "The buyer can look forward to a truly unique, street-legal work of art."
Former F1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen is returning to Formula One with Lotus and how what does the latter do to celebrate his signing? They make a special edition Lotus Evora GTE, one that packs a 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering a total of 444 horsepower, making it the most powerful Lotus road car ever built. We wish we could have a car built in our honor, although it might need an F1 title to do that.
We probably won't be able to get our hands on the Evora GTE F1 Edition. Fret not, though, because Lotus has a pretty cool alternative for us in the form of the Exige S Roadster. Carrying a supercharged 3.5 V6 engine that delivers a total of 345 horsepower, the Exige S Roadster is no slouch by any means. And when you're driving down the open road behind the wheel of this car, you're probably not doing too bad yourself.
If you asked us which supercar we'd love to have on our hands relative to financial flexibility, we'd say the Maserati Gran Turismo Sport. Make no mistake, we'd opt for the more powerful exotics if we had more moolah to spend. But considering the GranTurismo Sport's performance credentials - a 4.7-liter V8 engine that delivers 460 horsepower - and combine that with the cheaper price tag, we'd take the GranTurismo Sport faster than it takes the car to hit 0-62 mph.
It may not have the power of some of the cars on this list, but rest assured, the Mercedes C-Class Coupe Sport is one car we'd love to have in our garage.With all the bells and whistles already attached to it, the German automaker still wanted to add their new AMG Plus Sports package, which can be combined with any body version and adds an AMG 7-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, an AMG spoiler lip, and sports seats in black Artico man-made leather. What's not to love?
When somebody says a car is naked, some people might cringe at the thought of seeing rust coming out of the body panels. That's not the case with the Pagani Huayra Carbon Edition, which as the name suggests, comes with a full carbon fiber body that just shimmers under the spotlight. And then it also has a twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 700 horsepower with a 0-62 mph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 230 mph. Can we get one, please?
What's better than having just one special edition Pagani Huayra in Geneva? How about having two. This one isn't as flashy as the Carbon Edition, but it still commands plenty of attention, especially when it's pristine white body paint completely mesmerizes the bananas out of you. Just like the Carbon Edition Huayra, this White Edition is powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 700 horsepower while running from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds before topping out a top speed of 230 mph.
