Mercedes B-Class’s sales are pretty good, but the competition is also pretty tough. To remain leader in the category, Mercedes needs to take attitude. And they will! A four-wheel drive model will follow, and also a 300 hp AMG version starting 2012.
Mercedes wants to increase the number of versions of the B-Class. Starting 2012 there will be three different body style. First, there will be a slightly higher version than the current generation, it will have five doors and will have room for five to seven people.
Also, in the same way Ford created Kuga based on the C-Max, Mercedes will create a SUV based on the B-Class platform.
The third to come will be a port version. It will have a three-door body, and will offer a range of engines with power between 136 hp to 224 hp. An AMG version, delivering 300 hp is also under consideration.
